Alchemy is a startup electronic cigarette company. I was asked to come up with a brand direction and identity for their products, with an emphasis on aiming for a more sophisticated demographic.

The brand for Alchemy is aiming for sophistication and dark mystique, reflecting upon the brand name itself. Drawing from alchemic symbology, the logo comes in the form of a minimal wordmark, utilising the ruin for ‘air’ for the letter “A”. Clean humanist type is contrasted with a traditional serif giving a bold typographical texture. Linework graphics inspired by alchemic graphs were created, with this same linework being carried across to diagrams and iconography.
Print & Packaging
Print branding is focused around the product itself in the form of packaging and product branding, both for the device itself as well as a range of e-liquid flavours. The concept here being two halves making a whole, two inverted sides coming together in an unorthodox way. Simple stationary wraps up the print touch points, all of which are set in a striking monochrome format.
